We have two machines on opposite sides of the States, which can monitor YOUR servers and alert you (email, ICQ, Yahoo, MSM, or Update a web page). We can alert your team (respecting "on call" schedules) or just the IT manager. We can alert the web master if the web server goes down, and the sys admin if the mail server stops responding. We can monitor many kinds of "connections" (mail, web, DNS/NS, etc) and also check for a proper response! The problem with off-the-shelf software solutions is that you run them on your own network; not alerting you to problems between you and your potential customers! With our dual-monitoring approach; you can judge for yourself if there's a real problem or not. The cost for this service is $50 setup + $100/year for monitoring up to 4 servers!
