Welcome. NOTE: Since I created this & the email list; I've successfully created the IceBox for camping; we just recently stopped bring a tent along as a backup. There are no pictures because my digital camera took a dive in the water. First off, I'd like to say that I am not affiliated with GrandShelters in anyway. I just bought one on whim because I liked the idea; and because of some interest on one of the News Groups; I've decided to share my experience with it. These pages will be dynamic, to say the least, as I experience the "IceBox" for the first time. Secondly, I want to say that I'm really excited about trying this. It's lighter than my 4 season tent; and seems to be stronger; so I'm holding HIGH hopes for this device. To get into any sort of discussion about the IceBox and my experience with it; join the email list -- I will not share your email with anyone (nor will I sell it) including those at GrandShelters. Note: I got no special treatment from GrandShelters, I paid full price; so be sure, my experiences are not biased. I bought the 11&9ft version. After discussing it with Ed; I wish I had gotten the 8&10ft version -- smaller; means it heats up faster. I usually only camp solo or with one other person (and the dogs); so smaller would be better. I can get a new pole for just under 17bux (Plus shipping I imagine) and will prob. get one after the holidays. I put together a quick "how to" and some upclose pictures of the IceBox -- Click here to see that. You are visitor |
