| Here's a picture coming into Oro Bay -- A wide channel with a very shallow
access. You MUST follow the buoy markers, which are not visible in this picture;
but are on the right in the distance.. On a recent -3.8 tide, I couldn't
get back into the bay, awe shucks, gotta sail some more....
We used to keep our boat on this mooring pin, now we keep it for guests, we got a slip at the marina, finally. An 8 minute drive, and warm up the engine, we're outta the bay and sailing! |

Cruising past the docks, you come across the Oro Bay wreck. This boat sank
and the guy that owns it hasn't bothered to raise it; it's on the
"inland" side of
the bay; but still in the way. It's been there for 3 years I think; and it's still
leaking oil. VERY sad.
