Home Up Trip House Bay Diving Dinner

Up

The bay was crowded with boats... But they all had perm. stern & bow lines -- huge chains made a "parking lot" like grid for the boats as they came and went -- it was all 1st come 1st serve.
Here's a picture we took while taking a little cruise around Avalon (the city on Catalina island)
Again, Kris says "I lost 20lbs since then"  Here we are, you can see the variety of boats.  We think it'd be fun to rent a sailboat and sail out to Catalina some day.
Ok; so it WAS our anniversary weekend too.  We spent time going out to eat, and walking, and enjoying the island.  We found this bar we really liked; we'd just hang out there and people watch.  Here's some folks we met and hung out with for several hours.  Red (the guy next to me) was a unique guy.
There was a lot more to the bay & island, like the gardens of the Wriggly family (ala double mint gum).  Which was truly neat with lots of plants nicely preserved.  The Wriggly family basically owns the whole island.
