• You can access the listserv system two ways; the conventional way is by email, which is described below; or by going to http://mx.jassing.com:8081 and using the web interface.
  • All the email lists on jassing.com use the same basic commands.  Below is a summary.
  • You must know your list's actual name in order to use listserv.  (For example; replace <ListName> with ZipCode-L)
  • COMMANDS (things that alter your subscription) are sent to listserv@jassing.com -- the commands can be any combination of entries in the table below; all commands go in the BODY (message part) of the email.  Subjects are for your reference.  Emails need to be in plain text (no RTF or HTML encoding).
  • Sending regular (like to a person) email to listserv@jassing.com will go unanswered, as it's an automated system.
  • Do not include any blank lines in your commands to listserv@jassing.com   An invalid command in the body will abort processing.
  • POSTINGS (to be relayed to the list members) need go to <list name>@jassing.com.
  • For all lists, there is an email for a real person: <list name>-owner@jassing.com, this will send an email to the primary moderator for the email list.
